The Krabat Sheriff is an active indoor and outdoor children's wheelchair for children from 2 to 14 years old. The wheelchair is suitable for children with different diagnoses and is available in two sizes. The Sheriff Plus offers more support and higher comfort than its brother Sheriff. The Plus backrest has adjustable side supports, a headrest and the optional use of different harnesses. The saddle seat design gives the child a more upright position, ideal for school use.
Benefits of using a saddle seat:
By opening the hip angle, the pelvis is positioned neutrally. With the pelvis in a neutral position, the natural S-curvature of the spine can be maintained over time. All major joints in the lower limbs are centered, promoting normal muscle tone and length. The hip joint is in the rest position in which the femoral head is in the acetabulum. The sitting position in the saddle seat can prevent complications such as muscle contractures, hip pain and nerve blocks. The saddle seat improves an active, upright sitting position instead of a passive, slouched sitting position.
